I am the owner of KVX Bridal & Beauty. I am a Licensed Cosmetologist and I specialize in Bridal Hair Styling and Makeup Artistry. I was raised and born in Sacramento and now reside in Chowchilla, CA. My passion for makeup started in 2012. I was a self taught makeup artist and started learning from watching YouTube videos like many freelance artists started. I was never the girly type so when I saw other girls get dolled up and dress up, I had that fire burning inside of me to learn how to do makeup. That took me further to learn how to glam others and turn it into a career.

 

My first makeup gig was for a local Pageant event in Sacramento where I grew up and it was such a great opportunity that I wanted to grow and see what the beauty industry had to offer. The ups and downs that I learned the first year inspired me to pursue an education in beauty. I wanted clients to take me serious and I wanted to build a professional background. I attended Paul Mitchell The School and graduated with Honors. I immediately started working in the salon the day after I got my license so I can build my brand. I started my business in 2018 and began focusing on Bridal Makeup and it's been the best decision I've ever made. I get to meet so many amazing brides and get to travel around California. With more than 10 years of experience and more than 5 years in Business, I feel confident that all of my clients feel beautiful.

I am a military wife of 14 years with 2 beautiful girls who loves makeup just like their Mama. Early in my teenage years I wanted to become a Makeup Artist. That was a dream I felt I couldn't reach. In the Asian Culture, we were taught to grow up and become teachers or doctors. Of course, my parents always told me I would never make a living off of a career like being a Hair and Makeup Artist. So I never chased that dream of mine when I graduated high school. Soon after having my own children, I wanted my kids to do what they love and follow their dreams. I am able to take my kids and husband along on these trips. They get to see me work and do what I love. Now, my kids are motivated to grow up and dream big for themselves and I love that for them! I made the decision to follow my dreams and I was able to accomplish a goal I had thought I would never be able to achieve. I believed in myself and worked hard to become an independent businesswoman. I am so incredibly thankful for all of my clients who I've worked with because I wouldn't be able to do what I love and show my kids that anything is possible.

My love for this industry has only grown. I love to learn and will always continue to educate myself and stay on top of trends. I am most proud of my achievement of being 2x Certified by Makeup By Mario with Kim Kardashian in 2015 and 2019. I also got to travel with local Fashion Designer, Mang and Shang Thao of Hill Tribe Fusion to NYFW in September 2019. I traveled to Staten Island in 2021 to Master my craft and was Certified in Hollywood Waves with Senada Cenak. Now I specialize in Bridal Hollywood Waves and Makeup. I am always open to meeting new people and currently taking new clients. While I am not traveling, I am in the salon cutting hair, coloring hair and offering trials for future Brides. I am also certified in Brow Laminations/Tinting and Lash Extensions. In addition to that, I am certified in Tape-in Extensions by Hot Heads as well and work exclusively with Bellami Hair Extensions..

I wish to work with clients and Brides to give them the experience they deserve. I always enjoy chatting with my clients and build long terms relationships. My favorite part is the magic of it all coming together and the moment the Client or Bride sees herself in the mirror. Those are moments that will last forever and I wish to be a part of the process.
